Paint Correction Services Raleigh, North Carolina

What Is Paint Correction?

Look at your car under direct sunlight. Do you see swirls, scratches, or a dull haze on your paint? That's called paint damage and it happens to every car over time. Automatic car washes, improper washing, and everyday wear all leave tiny marks in your clear coat.

Paint correction is a professional machine-polishing process that removes those imperfections. We use high-speed polishers and professional compounds to level the clear coat and restore a deep, mirror-like finish. The result is paint that looks better than it has in years, sometimes better than the day you bought it.

Our mobile paint correction service in Raleigh, NC brings this body-shop-level service directly to your driveway.

Our Paint Correction Process

Paint correction is one of the most detailed services we offer. Here is exactly what we do:

  1. Full Exterior Hand Wash: We remove all surface dirt and grime before touching the paint.

  2. Iron Decontamination: A chemical spray that dissolves tiny metal particles bonded to your paint that you cannot see or feel.

  3. Clay Bar Treatment: We glide a clay bar across every panel to pull out embedded contaminants and make the surface perfectly smooth.

  4. Paint Thickness Measurement: We use a digital gauge to measure your clear coat before polishing to ensure we work safely.

  5. Machine Polish: Using a dual-action or rotary polisher with professional compounds, we carefully remove the damaged layer of clear coat to reveal fresh, glossy paint underneath.

  6. Paint Refinement: We follow up with a finer polish to maximize depth, clarity, and gloss.

  7. Surface Prep: A final wipe-down with panel wipe to remove all polish residue and prepare the surface for protection.

  8. Final Inspection: We inspect every panel under bright lighting to ensure a flawless result.

Paint Correction vs. Ceramic Coating — What's the Difference?

A lot of customers ask us this question. Here is the simple answer:

Paint Correction = Fixes the damage already on your paint

Ceramic Coating = Prevents future damage from happening

Think of paint correction as the surgery and ceramic coating as the bandage that keeps it protected. For the best long-term result, we always recommend doing both together.

Paint Correction FAQs

Questions, answered

Not sure if your car needs paint correction? Start here, or just mention your questions when you request a free quote!

How long does paint correction last?

The correction itself is permanent, those swirls and scratches are gone for good. However, without a protective coating, new swirls can form over time from washing and daily use.

Will it remove all scratches?

Paint correction removes surface-level imperfections in the clear coat. Deep scratches that go through to the base coat or metal cannot be fixed with polishing alone.

How do I maintin my paint after correction?

We recommend a touchless or hand wash only. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes as they will put the swirls right back.

Can I get paint correction on a new car?

Absolutely. In fact, many new cars come from the dealership with swirl marks from the lot wash. A correction on a new car followed by a ceramic coating is the best way to protect your investment from day one.
