How long does ceramic coating last?

Do I still need to wash my car if it's ceramic coated?
Yes, but it will be much faster! Dirt won't "stick" to the paint, so a simple rinse and light wash is usually all it takes.
Does it protect against rock chips?
No. While ceramic coatings are scratch-resistant, they are not thick enough to stop flying rocks. For that, you would need Paint Protection Film (PPF).
